Why Your Hair Isn't Growing: Free 50-Page Guide

Free 50-page guide

Your hair is already growing. You’re just losing it at the ends.

Hair grows about half an inch a month — yours included. If your length looks stuck, it’s breaking off roughly as fast as it’s growing in. That’s a retention problem, and it’s fixable.

One email a week after that. Unsubscribe anytime. No miracle oils.

Why Your Hair Isn’t Growing (And How to Finally Keep the Length) - free guide from Curl Centric

What’s actually in it

Fifty pages. No filler.

Written by a barber and hairstylist who’s been teaching curly hair care since 2008.

7

The real causes of breakage

Moisture–protein imbalance, over-manipulation, heat, harsh tools, chemicals, environment, and habits — with the signs that tell you which ones are yours.

1

A weekly routine with real times

Wash day at 1.5–2 hours, midweek refresh at 5–15 minutes, nightly at 5. Written for a schedule that already has things in it.

2s

The stretch test

One wet strand tells you whether you need protein or moisture. Most people guess this wrong and make the problem worse.

40+

Named products, sorted by job

Shampoos, deep conditioners, leave-ins, gels, scalp care. What each one is for, so you stop buying the same thing twice.

8

Protective styling that protects

Prep steps, wear times by style, tension warning signs, and how to take a style down without losing what it saved.

✓

A one-page checklist

The whole book compressed into something you can actually keep using on a Sunday afternoon.

Before you sign up

This isn’t for everyone.

We’d rather you know now than unsubscribe later.

It’s for you if

You’ve been natural a while and already own plenty of products
Your hair keeps stalling at the same length no matter what you try
You want to know why something works, not just be told to do it
You’re willing to change a few habits and give it a few months

It’s not for you if

You’re looking for an oil, vitamin, or rinse that grows hair faster
You want waist-length results in three weeks
You want a shopping list with no reasoning attached
You’d rather not hear that trimming supports retention

Who wrote this

I didn’t get into hair because I loved it. I got into it in 2006 because my daughter needed me to.

I’m Kira Byrd, a barber and hairstylist, and co-founder of Curl Centric. I’ve been educating women about curly hair since 2008 — which means I’ve watched a lot of trends arrive, get sold hard, and quietly disappear.

What hasn’t changed in all that time is the underlying biology. Hair grows at the rate it grows. Everything you control happens after that, at the ends, over months. This guide is the version of that I wish someone had handed me in 2006.
